Digital content manager/editor, life sciences
e-commerce at West South

We’re looking for a scientist/marketer to help with digital content management for an enterprise-level life sciences e-commerce client. You’ll need to have a solid science background as well as strong writing and editing skills. Digital marketing experience and/or knowledge of digital content best practices is a plus.

The role serves as subject matter expert and content editor, interacting with product managers who wish to publish content on the website, and the web production team, who build and edit pages in the client’s content management system.

On a day-to-day basis, you will:

  • Review proposed web content with business partners
  • Copy edit proposed content for company style, SEO, and grammar
  • Make recommendations for content based on digital best practices
  • Make recommendations for optimized placement of content within website’s information architecture; map content redirects
  • Work with web content production team to guide production process and answer content-related questions
  • Attend meetings with business partners and other team members
  • Execute workflow steps in Workfront, or other designated project management tool
  • Review and QC new pages in client’s content management system


Undergraduate or advanced degree in the life sciences or related scientific field; PhD preferred.

Note: This position/s is on a freelance basis, with a duration of three to nine months, approximately 40 hours per week.
